School Lane Charter School Acquires Two Ideal Properties in Bensalem Township to Facilitate Its Expansion to Include Grades 7-12

Frank Roddy of Roddy Inc., who represented School Lane Charter School in the acquisition of the properties located at 3050 Tillman Dr and 3340 Tillman Dr in the Glenview Corporate Center in Bensalem, PA, advised that 3050 Tillman Dr is an approx. 45,000 sq. ft. one-story building that had been occupied by the Everest Institute and was purchased for $5,630,000 from Glenview Equities LLC. The contiguous property that was acquired at 3340 Tillman Dr is an approx. 17,500 sq. ft. one-story office building that had been occupied by Nielson Co. and was purchased for $2,900,000 from Newtown Crossing Properties, LP. Karen Schade, CEO and Principal of School Lane Charter School, advised that the school’s International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (grades 7-10) will be located at the 3050 Tillman Dr. property and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (grades 11-12) will be located at the 3340 Tillman Dr. property. Schade advised that the 3050 Tillman Dr. property is ideally suited for their needs and will require minimal renovations due to the fact that its last occupant was a school and further advised that there will be some renovations required at the 3340 Tillman Dr. property to facilitate its use as a school. It is anticipated that the grades 7-10 will be housed in the new facility as of August 2016 and grades 11-12 will be housed in the new facility as of August 2017. School Lane Charter School, which opened in 1998 as the first charter school in Bucks County and the first suburban K-8 charter school in Pennsylvania, is located at 2350 Bristol Pike and 2400 Bristol Pike where it houses grades K-10. Nearly 1000 students from nine school districts now attend School Lane, enjoying an unparalleled educational experience. The waiting list is extensive at each grade level and School Lane continues to receive daily inquiries and visits by interested parents.
